Why Aged Rice?
For Basmati to flower in all its unique attributes, it all must be matured for at least one year. The result? On cooking, the grains elongate two to three times; won’t break or stick together; and release a characteristic aroma.
India Gate Basmati Rice originates from the heart of basmati growing land of India- the Terai region of North-Western Himalaya. The highest quality harvest of the region is tested, procured and then sent for aging fora minimum period of one year in the most conducive environment of the company owned storage. The aged paddy is then sent for cleaning, milling and packaging in a state-of-the-art rice milling plant.
India Gate is distinguished by the long length, fineness and smooth texture of its grains. The cooked grains won’t break or stick together. The aroma is delicate and the taste is simply irresistible.
